Walked into a black day.
Nothing to push me on.
Those determined angry expressions.
Formed the rocks I would later be dashed upon.

You turn up in the strangest places.
At the strangest times.
Your words got so many faces.
Mis-directional signs.

Twisted wrecks, broken necks.
Flashing blue lights. Fatalities.
I crawled on by looked vaguely shy.
Thank the stars the moment was siezed.

So I danced into the wee small hours.
Tripped my way out the other side.
Believed I was king of the world.
But it turned into such a short lived ride.

You turn up in the strangest places....

Bright shining new.
An inspirational cue.
It came flying through.
As the 747 cut the clear blue sky in two.

On my favourite seat.
With your holy book against my breast.
I am but a leaf on a tree in an endless,endless forest.
